# FAQ - Report Pundit and Claude

### Can Claude change or delete anything in my store?

No. The connector reads reports. It has no ability to change orders, products, inventory, customers, or anything else in Shopify.

### Can Claude change or delete my reports?

No, with one exception you control. Claude cannot edit or delete anything in **My Reports**.

The exception is that when you ask Claude to run a report from the **Library**, a copy of that report is saved to your **My Reports** page so it can be run and reused. That only happens when you ask for a Library report. See [How to run a report from the Library in Claude](https://claude.ai/run-pre-created-report-in-claude).

### Which store does the connector read from?

The one your MCP Access URL belongs to. Each store has its own URL, and that URL is what identifies the store to Claude. Claude cannot see any other store.

### Can I connect more than one store?

Yes. Each store has its own MCP Access URL, so you add each one as a separate connector in Claude and give each a name you will recognise, such as `Report Pundit - UK store`.

> **TO CONFIRM:** how this interacts with **Connect Shops** in Report Pundit. If connected shops share a single MCP Access URL, this answer needs rewriting.

### Which Report Pundit plan do I need?

**Essential Plus** or higher. You can check your plan under **Settings**, then **Account Details**, next to **Report Pundit Plan**.

### Which Claude plans work with this?

Custom connectors work on the Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. The Free plan allows one custom connector in total, so if you already use one elsewhere you will need to remove it first. On Team and Enterprise, an organisation Owner adds the connector before members can connect to it.

For anything else about Claude plans or settings, see Anthropic's guide to [custom connectors using remote MCP](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/11175166-get-started-with-custom-connectors-using-remote-mcp).

### Does my MCP Access URL expire?

No. It keeps working until you regenerate or delete it. There is nothing to renew.

### What happens if someone else gets my MCP Access URL?

They could read your store's reports through Claude. Treat the URL like a password.

If it has been exposed, regenerate it from **Settings**, then **Account Details**, using the circular arrow icon on the **MCP Access URL** row. The old token stops working immediately. Then update the URL in Claude under **Settings**, then **Connectors**.

### Does Claude keep a copy of my report data?

Your report data goes into your Claude conversation, in the same way as anything else you send Claude. How Anthropic handles conversation data is covered by their own privacy documentation rather than ours, and it depends on your Claude plan and settings.

Report Pundit's role is to run the report and return the results.

> **TO CONFIRM:** does Report Pundit log or retain the results of connector runs beyond normal report run history? Answer this directly here, since it is the question enterprise buyers will ask.

### Can everyone on my team use it, or just me?

That depends on your Claude plan rather than on Report Pundit. On Pro or Max the connector belongs to your own account. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner adds it and members connect individually.

Note that because the store is identified by the token in the URL, everyone in a Team or Enterprise organisation who connects will be reading the same store's reports. There is no per-person sign-in and no per-person restriction on which reports they can see.

### Do runs from Claude count against my plan limits?

> **TO CONFIRM:** do connector runs count towards report run limits, scheduled report quotas or any other plan limit? Merchants on metered plans will ask before they start using it heavily.

### Do I need to rebuild my reports for Claude to read them?

No. Every report in **My Reports** is available as it is, including heavily customised ones. Claude uses the same fields, filters and sort order you built.

### Can Claude build a new custom report from scratch?

No. Claude can find and run reports from the **Library**, and it can save a Library report to your account. Building a report with your own choice of fields and filters is done in Report Pundit.

If you find yourself asking Claude for something no report covers, build the report in the app once and it becomes available to Claude immediately.

### Can I schedule this, or is it conversation only?

The connector works in conversation. You ask, Claude runs the report and answers.

For reports that need to arrive on a timetable without you asking, use **Schedules** in Report Pundit. The two work well together: schedules for the numbers you always want, Claude for the questions you did not know you would have.

### Why did a new report appear in My Reports?

Because you ran a report from the **Library** through Claude. A copy is saved to your account so it can be run and reused, and running it again reuses the same copy rather than creating another. This is expected.

### Will Claude give me the same numbers as Report Pundit?

Yes, because it is running your report on Report Pundit's servers with your fields and filters. The results are the same results.

Where figures appear to differ, it is nearly always the date range, a filter, or your Shop Time Zone. For anything you are filing or paying against, reconcile against a Report Pundit export as a matter of practice. See [Getting accurate results from large reports in Claude](https://claude.ai/claude-large-reports-best-practices).

### How do I disconnect?

Remove the connector in Claude under **Settings**, then **Connectors**. Your reports and your Report Pundit account are unaffected.

To revoke access from the Report Pundit side, delete the MCP Access URL under **Settings**, then **Account Details**. That works regardless of what is still configured in Claude.
