MCP Connector

Report Pundit now connects to Claude, so you can ask questions about your reports instead of reading spreadsheets. Any report from My Reports or the Library, any date range, analyzed in conversation.

What you need

  • Report Pundit installed on your store

  • A Claude account. Custom connectors work on the Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. The Free plan allows one custom connector in total. On Team and Enterprise, an organization Owner adds the connector before members can connect

Setting up

1. Copy your MCP Access URL

  • In Report Pundit, click Settings in the top navigation.

  • Click Account Details in the left sidebar.

  • Find the MCP Access URL row near the bottom of the panel.

  • Click on Generate URL

  • Click the copy icon next to it.

The row shows only the last few characters of your token. That is expected. The copy icon copies the full URL.

Do not copy the Shop Key by mistake. It sits directly above the MCP Access URL with its own copy icon, but it is a different credential and will not work in Claude.

Keep this URL private. The token in it works like a password. Anyone who has it can read your store's reports through Claude.

2. Add the connector in Claude

  1. Open Claude and go to Settings, then Connectors.

  2. Click Add, then choose Custom.

  3. In the Name field, enter Report Pundit.

  4. In the Remote MCP server URL field, paste the full URL you copied, including everything after ?token=.

  5. Click Continue. If a further screen with authentication settings appears, leave it exactly as Claude has filled it in.

  6. Open Report Pundit in your connectors list and click Connect.

You will see "You're not connected to Report Pundit yet" before step 6. That is normal. Adding the connector and connecting to it are two separate actions, and Connect is what finishes setup.

On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner does steps 1 to 5 under Organization settings, then each member does step 6 from their own Connectors list.
