A. Report Pundit is having data synchronization issues with Shopify at the moment, causing your reports to display wrong data values or none at all. Your reports may also load slower than usual because of the glitch. We apologize for the inconvenience and would like you to know that your data is safe. Weโ€™re working to fix the issue quickly and get your reporting back on track soon. Meanwhile, hereโ€™s a handy guide that can make it easier to solve your data mismatch issue:

  1. How do you sync my store records when I install the app?

A. When you log in to your Report Pundit account for the first time, we automatically synchronize all of your Shopify records.

  • The duration of this synchronization process depends on the size of your database and can range from a few minutes to a few days.

  1. Can I use Report Pundit while records are syncing?

A. When you use your Report Pundit account for the first time, we need to synchronize all your Shopify store records completely. While you can view and access most parts of Report Pundit, you won't be able to create or build reports until this process is done. This ensures that your data is completely accurate.

  1. When was the last time my data was synced?

A. We update your records every time you use the app or schedule a report. Additionally, the app automatically performs a sync every six hours, whether you use it or not. You can also manually force sync to refresh your records at any time.

  1. Why is Data Sync necessary?

A. After syncing your Shopify store data with Report Pundit, generating reports is done instantly. However, it's important to note that data sync is required to generate reports quickly. In addition, it is worth noting that fetching data from the Shopify API comes with a call limit, which can significantly slow down the report generation process. That is why syncing your Shopify store data with Report Pundit is necessary for quick and efficient report generation.

  1. Will my data remain within Report Pundit after uninstallation?

A. It's important to follow the Shopify rules when it comes to deleting Report Pundit. If you uninstall the app, all synced data will be deleted automatically after 48 hours. However, you can always sync the data again by re-installing Report Pundit within the 48-hour period. This ensures that your data remains safe and secure, and you can always retrieve it when you need it.

  1. Does the inventory quantity field always show the current inventory?

A. Yes, when you update the inventory of a product in Shopify, the new inventory values will be reflected in Report Pundit when you sync the data. However, it's important to note that Shopify doesn't keep a record of past inventory history in the API. They only update the current inventory in the API.
