Removed: Scheduling reports to an existing Google Sheet

What changed Scheduling reports to an existing Google Sheet is no longer available in Report Pundit.

Why we changed it Connecting to an existing scheduled Sheet requires broad Google Sheets permissions (edit access to the entire spreadsheet) in order to set up and maintain the connection using Google Sheets API scopes (https://developers.google.com/workspace/sheets/api/scopes). Because some users store highly sensitive data in Sheets, requiring “global” edit access to the whole spreadsheet may not be acceptable from a security/privacy standpoint. To reduce risk, we removed this recommended feature.

Impact

• Users can no longer select an existing Google Sheet as the destination for scheduled exports.

• This will not affect “New sheet” connections and already connected existing users, other export/scheduling options remain available (as supported in the app).

Added Bundle vs Non-Bundle Item Sales reports to the Library, making it easy to identify which ordered items came from bundles versus regular (non-bundle) orders.

Integration - WorkMate

Enabled the Workmate integration for Report Pundit. You can now pull Workmate inventory and supplier data into Report Pundit and generate inventory, supplier, and order reports using this integration.

Pre-Created Reports for Custom Properties

Added pre-created custom properties reports to the Library, so you can get properties data without extra customization or calculated fields. These reports include a guided flow that shows you how to add custom properties to your report.

Custom Properties Fields

Pre-made Reports and any custom reports now support adding custom properties via an Add Column interface (Metafields, Line-item Properties, Note Attributes, and Customer/Product Variant Metafields based on report type). Add multiple fields with a few clicks, pull live Shopify API data, and view multi-shop data in a single report.

Shopify Markets

Report Pundit now supports Shopify Markets reports for stores using Markets catalogs. You can access Shopify Market – Product Variants reports from the Library to see product-to-market associations and international market pricing.

Payouts Sync and New fields included

Shopify payouts sync is now faster and more reliable, and payout reports include new fields such as Business Entity Name for improved reconciliation and clarity.

Move to folder - Updates

Users can now move reports directly to folders from the search results, making report organization more efficient. This feature streamlines the management of reports, eliminating the need to navigate back to the My Reports list to organize documents, thereby enhancing productivity and simplifying workflow within Report Pundit.

Manage All Shareable Links - Enhanced Security

With the new updates, users can enhance the security of shared reports by adding email and password protection. By ensuring that only authorized external users with the assigned credentials can access the shared links, this feature prioritizes data privacy and security, making information sharing safer and more controlled.

Exchange item order - Identification

The Exchange Item Identification feature helps users identify which items have been exchanged or removed from an order. While Shopify may not effectively showcase this information, Report Pundit accurately presents these details, allowing users to track order changes efficiently. This update enhances user understanding of order modifications, providing clarity and improving overall order management.

Schedules Details

The Schedule Details feature now includes hover effects for easy viewing of schedule information. If multiple accounts of any output type are linked to the same schedule, hovering over the schedule will reveal these connections. This update allows users to see account associations without editing the schedule, simplifying management and improving workflow efficiency.

User Management

Report Pundit’s User Management feature allows store admins to create and manage user accounts, controlling access levels for staff. Admins can assign full or limited access, such as allowing users to view, filter, and sort reports. This helps streamline workflows while protecting sensitive data. The admin first creates their own account with full access, then adds individual user accounts with email and password. Access permissions can be customized for each user, ensuring only authorized staff can access and modify reports based on their roles.

Need custom Report contact

This feature lets users contact the support team if they can't find a report in the library or My Reports page. If a search doesn't return results, users are encouraged to submit their custom report request using a form. The support team will receive the details and create the requested reports based on the user's needs.

Onboarding Request

This feature makes onboarding easier for new users by gathering information about the reports they need. When the app is installed, users are asked to submit their report requirements. This helps the support team understand their needs right away and create custom reports tailored to their business. It ensures that new users have a smooth start and can quickly begin using the app.
