Removed: Scheduling reports to an existing Google Sheet

What changed Scheduling reports to an existing Google Sheet is no longer available in Report Pundit.

Why we changed it Connecting to an existing scheduled Sheet requires broad Google Sheets permissions (edit access to the entire spreadsheet) in order to set up and maintain the connection using Google Sheets API scopes (https://developers.google.com/workspace/sheets/api/scopesarrow-up-right). Because some users store highly sensitive data in Sheets, requiring “global” edit access to the whole spreadsheet may not be acceptable from a security/privacy standpoint. To reduce risk, we removed this recommended feature.

Impact

  • Users can no longer select an existing Google Sheet as the destination for scheduled exports.

  • This will not affect “New sheet” connections and already connected existing users, other export/scheduling options remain available (as supported in the app).

Move to folder - Updates

Need custom Report contact

This feature lets users contact the support team if they can't find a report in the library or My Reports page. If a search doesn't return results, users are encouraged to submit their custom report request using a form. The support team will receive the details and create the requested reports based on the user's needs.

Onboarding Request

This feature makes onboarding easier for new users by gathering information about the reports they need. When the app is installed, users are asked to submit their report requirements. This helps the support team understand their needs right away and create custom reports tailored to their business. It ensures that new users have a smooth start and can quickly begin using the app.
